These are the rules that apply in all classes using computer labs. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask us.
Mostly we use the ELab or the engineering classrooms, but we may also use the a regular classroom with a projector. The ELab is a very public area. Often, guests of the school are brought on tours and are shown the labs. Our labs are frequently visited by administrators, trustees, or other guests and VIPs. Always be on "suit alert." It is important for you to convey a good impression of our school to others.
Yes, that means they are "fishbowls". Everyone sees in 'em all the time, so you should be on your best behavior.
When you come to class be ready to work. After the first couple of days, you will know what applications or files you need to have open. Get these ready to go at the beginning of class. This will help your teacher make optimal use of precious class time. You may also want to open a wordprocessor or text editor to take any notes in during class, though research has shown that taking notes in a notebook is more effective.
Power strips will be available in computing classes. Bring your power cord so you don't run out of juice in the middle of class.
These rules apply at all times, without exception.
