You can think of while as a "sticky if," which keeps executing until the predicate is falsy.

Quick Review: Falsiness and Truthiness

• An expression is truthy if, when its value is cast to a boolean, the result is True
• An expression is falsy if, when its value is cast to a boolean, the result is False
• while and other conditional constructs act on the truthiness or falsiness of their predicates.
